“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

The 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000

Would make you fall in love at first site

Got a view of the 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 today at the parking lot of the US office. I could make out that shiny metal in between of those big four wheelers. Indeed the first glimps made if clear that Chris (the owner of the bike) simply loves it. So, took some pictures of the awesome looking bike. It's old, almost three decades old, by man it looks striking.
Today amazingly enough had some time to breath so did a quick Googling about the bike to know about the beauty.

The name says it all

  • Engine Displacement : 1015cc
  • Power : 86.00 HP (62.8 kW) @ 8000 RPM
  • Torque : 83.25 Nm @ 6500 RPM
  • Engine Type : Inline four with Four valve each cylinder
  • Compression : 8:7:1
  • Bore x Stroke : 70.0 x 66.0
  • Fuel System : Carburettor
  • Fuel Control : DOHC
  • Cooling System : Air
  • Wheelbase : 1,505 mm

It was really very sweet of Chris to allow me to lay my hands on his bike!!

The 241.0 kg (531.3 pounds) monster makes is intentions clear as soon as you sit on it. Also, the overall lenght of 2,220 mm (87.4 inches) does leave an impression about the collosulness of the bike.

The sound literally filled me up!!

  2. Payeng Dude!!!
I don't have a Bike licence for US, so didn't get a chance to test the bike except for the throttle response, which, needless to say, was out of this world for me!!

Also, Chris is very emotional about this beast, so didn't bother him much to allow me for a BIG ride arround the entire office parking lot!!!

But yeah I'm surely looking forward to somethings really exciting......!!!! Would love to post about them very soon ;)
