The third in the 2011 Sportster lineup of Harley Davidson in India, the Harley Davidson XL 1200X Forty-Eight is here to make a statement. The rugged chiseled customized motorcycle is all about being the street bred rebellion, with loads of attitude oozing out of it's bulldog appearance, peanut fuel tank, blacked and rubber mounted Evolution 1200 cc V-Twin engine, under slung mirrors, slammed chassis and solo rider seat.
The Forty-Eight tries to mesmerize you at first glance with low lying motorcycle geometry and it's largely exposed Evolution Engine, with highlighted accents, small solo seat and not to be missed it's huge 150mm front tyre. With Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection and a wide torque range, the Forty-Eight delivers pleasureful performance and ride experience, with the chrome, staggered shorty exhaust muffler playing the signature Harley music.
The Forty-Eight greets the rebellion aboard with forward foot controls, custom low handle bar, under handle bar mirrors, fork mounted turn indicators, slammed speedometer mounting bracket as some of the distinct features. Understanding that such hooligan self is best enjoyed solo, pillion seat, foot rest and back rest would be available as accessories and won't be part of the standard fitment.
At ₹ 8,50,000 ex-showroom Delhi, the 2011 Harley Davidson XL 1200X Forty-Eight is definitely demanding a premium, so you better be a true rebellion by nature and tourer by soul if want to have this mean being in your stable.
