“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

2011 Hero Honda Karizma ZMR

After the launch of the 2011 Hero Honda Glamour and the Hero Honda CBZ Extreme, now it's the turn of Hero Honda's flag-ship, the Hero Honda Karizma ZMR, to get face lifted for the calendar year 2011.

The Hero Honda Karizma ZMR's official website has been updated with the latest cosmetic jobs done on the motorcycle. Though the cosmetic changes have not been listed, but it's pretty obvious that nothing has been changed on the technical front and the entire new version is pivoted around graphics and cosmetics only. Some of the obviously visible changes on the website include -
  • New colors and graphics
  • Body colored RVMs
  • Body colored Grab Rails
  • Slightly modified exhaust canister
  • Slightly changed instrumentation console, with a very prominent ZMR logo in the center
  • The instrumentation control is white backlit

So, with no change in specs or price, not sure what Hero Honda is actually trying to achieve here with the cosmetic changes. But the one thing that I liked was that instead of going for something complete outrageous, as was done with the 2011 Hero Honda Glamour and CBZ Extreme, Hero Honda chose minimalistic changes to their flagship.

The changes are very subtle indeed and not many would be able to identify the difference. So, until the next big change, the 2011 ZMR still rides strong for Hero Honda.
