Last month in May, Honda CBR 650F bike was snapped at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida doing its test runs. And, now the motorcycle has been spotted at a company dealership in Indore, which clearly indicates that its launch is just around the corner. Just so you know, Honda CBR 650F was also showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February.
Talking about the CBR 650F, it boasts of a steel frame with a full fairing. It has a telescopic fork at the front suspension, while a monoshock does duties at the rear end of bike. Powering the HondaCBR 650F is a 649cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected gasoline engine which generates a massive power of 86bhp at 11,000rpm. The engine also has a peak torque performance of 63Nm at 8,000rpm, while linked to a six-speed transmission. As far as braking system is concerned, the CBR 650F has 320 mm hydraulic disc brakes at the front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with front tyre size of 120/70 and rear tyre size of 180/55.
It is being confirmed by Yadvinder S Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, HondaMotorcycle and Scooter India, that Honda CBR 650F would be launched in India in 2015. It would be manufactured locally at Honda’s production unit in Manesar, Haryana. Honda CBR 650F would be retailed through Shop-In-Shop distribution format across 20 priority cities in India. It would be challenging the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Benelli TNT600 GT in the Indian market, while being priced around INR 9 lakhs (On-Road).
