The Despatch Rider limited edition takes inspiration from the older bikes of the world war military era and comes with a special camouflaged paint job, among other cosmetic upgrades.
Having unveiled the limited edition models in May this year, Royal Enfield has officially announced prices for the Classic 500 Despatch series with the range priced at Rs. 2.05 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new limited edition Despatch pays homage to the era of Despatch riders, taking inspiration from the world war military bikes.
The limited edition Classic 500 use the same kind of material, colours and regimental detailing including the camouflage patterns, plackets gorgets and fabrics that replicate a military flair on the bike. The Royal Enfield Despatch is available in three colours including Desert Storm, Squadron Blue and Military Green.
The latter most though isn’t for sale in the Indian market due to the Indian military restrictions and will only be sold overseas. The other colours though come with a signature camouflage pattern that has been made possible by a hydrographic print transfer, achieved by hand. The new paint scheme is further accentuated by the matte black finished engine, indicators and exhaust muffler. The seats are upholstered in genuine Italian leather and the bike gets a very classy leather strap on the side panel. With production restricted to just 200 units, the limited edition
The Military Green Despatch shade is only for export markets & won’t be sold in India
The legendary motorcycle maker will start accepting bookings online only from 15th July onwards in the country, while the Despatch inspired apparels and accessories are available for purchase on Royal Enfield’s website already.
