“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

RE Despatch Bikes Sold Online In 26 Minutes

The Royal Enfield Despatch rider limited edition models were exclusively launched online and were completely sold out within 26 minutes of opening bookings.

Here is a fine example if you wish to describe the popularity of Royal Enfield in India. The British turned Indian motorcycle manufacturer recently introduced its Despatch rider limited edition model range exclusively online and managed to clear out its entire inventory within 26 minutes of opening bookings online. The Despatch rider range was launched in three colour options including Desert Storm, Squadron Blue and Military Green (not sold in India).

Each Royal Enfield Despatch Rider edition is based on a Classic 500 and comes with a signature camouflage pattern made by hydrographic print transfer, matte black finished engine, indicators and exhaust muffler, leather upholstered seats and a leather strap panel at the side. Each limited edition model also comes with an embossed aluminium hallmark carrying the production number of the motorcycle and details of the Oragadam plant, where the Classic 500 is manufactured.

The Despatch edition is priced at Rs. 2.25 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). As part of its growth plans for the future, Royal Enfield will be investing Rs. 500 crores on R&D, new product development, capacity expansion and setting up of new technology centres in Chennai and the UK. The investment will also see the expansion of the automaker’s Oragadam facility in Chennai.

The automaker’s total production capacity is expected to reach 50,000 units by the end of this year from the current 30,000 per month. For 2016, Royal Enfield will be bringing in the all-new Himalayan adventure motorcycle to the market and will launch a new product every year till the end of this decade.
