“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

David Beckham and the 2016 1100cc Triumph Bonneville

Not only does this image reveal footballing legend David Beckham wearing Belstaff riding gear as part of his role in a new movie called Outlaws but it also shows for the first time the all-new water-cooled Triumph Bonneville 1100.

The new bike is the range-topping 1100cc parallel-twin version of a new range of bikes that will completely replace the current range of 865cc classic Triumphs in 2016. This is the first time the bike has been shown in complete and undisguised form with only the exhaust tape and accessories like the mini indicators not being standard.

The new Bonneville range has been spotted in many and various forms over the past three years as it underwent testing and development and MCN has been at the forefront of spy photography tracking the progress of a range that’s vital to the success of the British firm.
Nothing official is known about this bike; rumoured to be named Street Tracker according to trademarks lodged in 2014; except for the fact the engine is completely new, around 1100cc, water-cooled for the first time and packing a lot more power so it can take on the likes of the BMW R nineT.

This version of the bike gets high spec Ohlins twin shocks, meaty upside down front forks, Brembo radial calipers and spoked wheels for a modern take on the classic Bonneville.
We still don’t know if Triumph will actually use the Street Tracker name on this bike which, we understand, will sit at the top of the new range. MCN spy photographers have recently seen an entry-level 865cc model and there have been a series of other variants using both the 865cc and 1100cc motors.

Triumph is understood to be revealing the entire range of new Bonnevilles at the Milan motorcycle show in November.

The image was released by high-end clothing manufacturer Belstaff as a promotional image for the new short film Outlaws which stars Beckham, Katherine Waterson, Cathy Moriarty and Harvey Keitel; with Liv Tyler as an executive producer.

Belstaff’s press release explains: “Outlaws is a surreal film within a film starring The Stranger, a mysterious drifter and motorcycle stuntman, haunted by memories of a beautiful Trapeze Artist and hunted by a maniacal Director seeking revenge.

The cast includes David Beckham, Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) soon to be seen in Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin's Steve Jobs and JK Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull) and Harvey Keitel (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs).”

David Beckham said: “I always love to challenge myself. Filming Outlaws in the Mexican desert with Belstaff and the Legs team – not to mention working alongside Harvey, Cathy and Katherine – was an adventure I will never forget!”

Gavin Haig, CEO of Belstaff added: “Through Outlaws, we are seeking to express and share the Belstaff spirit with a wider, global audience, in an unexpected way. Belstaff stands for moto heritage, speed, freedom, adventure and daring, and these values are all represented by the mysterious stranger of David Beckham’s character, central to the film.

Our iconic, timeless style and championing of the independent spirit are other values grounded within Outlaws. We hope to relay the message that we celebrate those individuals who seek out their own epic adventures in life.”

The new short film, “Outlaws,” will be released globally on September 22, 2015.
This isn’t the first time Beckham has been involved with Triumph motorcycles.

He and a group of friends rode across Brazil on Bonnevilles for a TV show in 2015.
