KTM will be launching the new Adventure 250 next year in India. This new motorcycle will help KTM enter a new segment. The scrambler/adventure touring bikes are on the rise and all the automakers are working towards it. Beginning from Hero MotoCorp to even Ducati, either have or will be having a bike soon.
The KTM bikes are manufactured in India at the Bajaj facility and now KTM will be introducing the 250cc engine for the Adventure motorcycles. These engines are already manufactured in India and are exported to other markets as RC250. KTM is looking at increasing its market share with this new bike. The RC range is performing much better than the Duke range. The KTM Adventure will be priced at about INR 1.5 lakhs (on-road) for the starting model if it comes without ABS.
The KTM Adventure 250 will be competing with brands like Hero, Honda as the two bike giants are looking to get into that segment. The existing 200 and 390 range of bikes will also be getting an update next year. The KTM brand will be looking at expanding its reach and even entering higher cc segment. The Super Duke is also on the cards, however it seems the launch might be delayed further.
