“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

India-Bound Ducati Scrambler Sixty2

The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 is being showcased at the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo in Bangkok. It was unveiled earlier at the 2015 EICMA in Milan in November this year.
Earlier known as the Ducati Scrambler 400, the Sixty2 is a cheaper version of the Scrambler 800 that also sells in India. In terms of looks there isn’t much of a difference between the two, except the body graphics. The Scrambler Sixty2 is powered by a 399cc twin, air-cooled engine with 2 valves per cylinder and desmodromic distribution, that produces 40bhp of maximum power at 8,750 rpm and 34.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.
The engine is mated six-speed gearbox. The Sixty2 gets a steel trellis frame similar to the Scrambler 800. A front 41mm Showa fork and adjustable Kayaba rear shock. Both the suspension components offer 5.9 inches of wheel travel which is similar to that on the Scrambler 800.
Touted as the most affordable Ducati, the Scrambler Sixty2 is inspired from youth street culture, skateboards, street food, pop music, according to the company. As a tribute to the year 1962, when the Scrambler was first launched, it is named the Scrambler Sixty2. The Scrambler Sixty2 is expected to be priced around INR 5.5 lakhs on-road making it quite affordable.
