We have informed you earlier that the Suzuki motorcycle is working on a new Gixxer 250 sports bike, which would be revealed at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. Recently, the pictures of this a final production model of this 250cc came across internet. The bike is expected to be showcased at 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.
Mechanically speaking, it has a 250cc, liquid cooled, two-cylinder engine that is assumed to produce a maximum power of 30-33bhp and a peak torque of 25-27Nm of torque. It will be mated to 6-speed gearbox, and will be developed in Japan.
Cosmetically, it is a fully-faired motorcycle that took its design cues from its elder siblings from Gixxer platform. It features single piece headlamps, split-seats, Disc brakes at front and rear, multi-functional digital console. The bike will be brought via CKD unit. It will rival against the likes of Honda CBR 250R, Kawasaki Z250, and newly launched DSK Benelli TNT 25. We expect the company to put an aggressive price tag on this upcoming Gixxer-250, as the entry level bike segment is one of the most competitive. The speculated pricing for this bike is somewhere between INR 2.80 lakh to INR 3.25 lakh.
