“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

BMW Confirms G310R’s India Launch

Just before the 2016 Auto Expo, things will almost be like a war front! On the 1st of February, Bajaj has announced a new motorcycle launch, which will be followed by Royal Enfield’s unveil of the much-awaited Himalayan adventure tourer. Now, as per our sources, TVS-BMW is also trying to snatch some hoglight.
They have planned a ride event of BMW motorcycles at BIC on 2nd of February. Invites have been sent to a select few personnel and we guess this is a non-media programme. To clear it out – this is different from the launch and media ride of Apache 200 (leaked pics) which is scheduled for 20th and 21st of this month.
In the official mail, copy of which we have with us, BMW has confirmed the launch of their smallest G310R in India ‘shortly’.
Here is what they have written..
“As you may be aware TVS and BMW came together in an alliance to jointly design, develop and produce a series of motorcycles in the sub 500 cc. We are excited about the shortly upcoming launch of this product and are hosting…….”
This is the first official confirmation of the baby BMW’s Indian launch and reveals that the Germans are already warming up with their smallest product yet for our market. Just to clarify, this event does NOT appear to be a ride event of the G310R, instead the invited folks can get to ride the other, much bigger BMWs like GS1200, S1000RR etc.
This basically appears to be a brand building event which intends to promote the BMW brand in India among prospect buyers.
