“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

Royal Enfield silently launches green Continental GT

Just days after we brought you the leaked pictures of the 2016 Royal Enfield line-up, we bring you another exciting news. The company has silently launched a new green colour for the Continental GT.
Over the last two years, Royal Enfield has experimented with various colours for their flagship motorcycle. At the time of launch, the Continental GT was available in red and yellow. It later introduced black for this café racer. And now once again, the Chennai-based manufacturer has introduced green. However, the yellow version has been discontinued. Along with this new colour, the bike gets tan leather seat.
Royal Enfield played a big gamble with the Continental GT. Built on a double downtube chassis, the Continental GT didn’t do well in the Indian market. However, it is very interesting to see the company experimenting in many ways to keep the bike look appealing to the Indian consumers.
The Continental GT is powered by a 535cc engine that churns out 29.1bhp and 44Nm of torque. The engine also gets a remapped ECU to suit its café racer character and is mated to a five-speed transmission.
We called up a few dealers for this bike and most of them said that the bike will take time to reach them. Also, Royal Enfield is planning to increase the price of its entire range by upto Rs 10,000.
