“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro launch in August

Ducati is on a roll. The Italian manufacturer is set to unveil the 959 Panigale at the India Bike Week 2016. And we’ve just got information about the Multistrada 1200 Enduro that’ll be launched in India in August.
Once launched, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro will join the Multistrada 1200 and the Multistrada 1200S in the Indian market. Ducati has smartly developed a motorcycle line-up that caters to a wider set of adventure travelers. While the other Multistradas take care of the touring segment, the 1200 Enduro has been developed to eat up some shares in the adventure bike segment.
In order to differentiate this model from the rest, Ducati has equipped the 1200 Enduro with tubeless spoked aluminium wheels – something that’s a must for an adventure bike. The wheels are different too. The 1200 Enduro gets a 19-inch tyre in the front and a 17-inch one at the rear, unlike, the 17-inch wheels in other models. It gets knobby off-road tyres too. The Italian manufacturer has slightly narrowed the seat over the footpegs for better off-road handling. The 1200 Enduro also gets a sump guard, which is bolted directly onto the frame. For better protection from stone and debris, Ducati has redesigned the beak and the mudguard.
There are few changes in the suspension department too. While the Enduro shares the same setup as the Multistrada 1200 S, Ducati has included electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment through Ducati’s trademark Skyhook Suspension System. The panniers could be bought as an accessory but it’s surely worth it. In terms of performance, the Enduro gets the same 1200cc L-Twin engine that produces 160bhp at 9500rpm and peak torque of 136Nm at 7500rpm. Just like other Multistrada, the Enduro is also loaded with riding modes that’ll take care of the rider's long distance needs.
Ducati will sell the Multistrada 1200 Enduro as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit through Thailand. In terms of pricing, we’re expecting Ducati to ask a premium of close to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Multistrada Enduro.
