“When what you are deeply passionate about, what you can be best in the world at and what drives your economic engine come together, not only does your work move toward greatness, but so does your life. For, in the end, it is impossible to have a great life unless it is a meaningful life. And it is very difficult to have a meaningful life without meaningful work. Perhaps, then, you might gain that rare tranquility that comes from knowing that you’ve had a hand in creating something of intrinsic excellence that makes a contribution. Indeed, you might even gain that deepest of all satisfactions: knowing that your short time here on this earth has been well spent, and that it mattered.”

Bonneville Thruxton and T120 pricing and availability

TRIUMPH has announced pricing and availability for its two newest Bonnevilles – the T120 and Thruxton, which it’s launching at the moment in Portugal.
Based on the fact that the Thruxton has been garnering a lot of attention for its gorgeous looks and the fact that we’ve just published our review of the R model, we’ll start with that.
The base model Thruxton will be available at the start of May, priced at £10,400. The Thruxton R costs £11,700 OTR and will be in dealerships by the end of April.
Both bikes share the same liquid-cooled 1200cc eight-valve parallel twin motor, which puts out a claimed 82.6lb/ft torque at 4,950rpm and 96hp at 6,750rpm.
The R model gets upgrades including Brembo monobloc brakes, an Ohlins shock and Showa forks, Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres and styling changes to differentiate it from the standard bike.  You can read our review of the new Triumph Thruxton R here.
The second of the new Bonnevilles is the T120 and T120 Black. Triumph announced pricing for both bikes last December -  £9,600 OTR. However, we now know that metallic and matte paint adds another £150 onto the cost of each bike and a twin-colour scheme is an extra £300.
Both bikes are powered by Triumph’s new water-cooled 1200cc eight-valve ‘high-torque’ parallel twin engine, which makes a claimed 77lb/ft torque at 3,100rpm and 79hp at 6,550rpm.
The new Bonneville T120s will be available from dealers at the end of April and we’ll have a review of it on the site soon.
The new Bonneville T120 and Thruxton join the new Bonneville Street Twin, which Triumph launched at the end of last year.
