Suzuki is all set to start assembling the ever popular Hayabusa superbike in India. The 2016 model Hayabusa is already sold in India, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 16 lakh, and the welcome shift to a CKD import route will drop the Hayabusa’s price to Rs 14 lakh, ex-showroom, in a sizeable Rs 2 lakh dip.
This new pricing places the Hayabusa in an enviable position in the Indian hyper-bike segment, where its arch rival, the Kawasaki ZX-14R is priced a massive premium higher, selling at Rs 17.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2016 Hayabusa shall be available in a variety of colours; red, white and black, as it becomes the first real superbike assembled in India by Suzuki. The Hayabusa has from its inception ranked amongst the fastest production motorcycles built, and the 2016 model bike lives up to its fearsome reputation, the refined Suzuki 4-stroke, in-line 4, 1,340cc engine outputting close to a hefty 195bhp.
Suzuki has earmarked an exclusive, special production line within its present Manesar manufacturing facility from where the 2016 model Hayabusa shall be assembled.
